Courses

Courses can be held either at my workshop in Berkeley, Gloucestershire or at your own workshop.

One Day Course: This course is aimed at the beginner.

An introduction to woodturning,the safe use of hand tools and machinery.The sharpening of tools,wood selection and guidance on Health and Safety issues.

Course notes,aide memoires and detailed plans of projects are provided so you leave with all the information available for your future use.The aim is to have a least one finished item and the end of the day.

Two Day Course:

This course is for the turner looking to advance their skills and techniques in any of the below listed subjects.

....................................Platters

....................................Hollow forms

....................................Boxes

....................................Off Centre projects

....................................Texturing & Colouring

....................................All materials and tools provided if required.

..................................Cost £200.

Should you require a course tailored to your particular needs please contact me and arrangements to suite can be arranged at £120 per day.

A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking.

The lathe used at my workshop is a Vicmarc VL175 variable speed.
